Berthillon (Paris: Île Saint-Louis)

By in 01: Paris

Berthillon (wiki) is the kind of place that I expect deservingly to be included in every travel guidebook as a must-go. They make all natural, traditional homemade ice-cream. There’re many other outlets that sell their ice-cream all over the island as well (including one that opens till 2 am).

The original shop is a close walk to the beautiful park behind Notre Dame. Joan got sorbet Gianduja a l’Orange and Plum

I got ice cream. Marron Glace and Cannelle. There’re good chunk of chestnut inside, very rich and milky~ Though the two flavors I picked are a bit similar. Very good nonetheless.

    Cannelle is just vanilla?

I can never figure out the exact spelling, Cannele, or canele, or Cannelle. ^^;; It has a burnt caramel taste to it too~ so nice!

Sherry, thank you so much! I’m glad the food pictures made you as happy as they made me.
