Cafe Pierre (Manhattan Beach)

DSC01900.jpgDSC01899.jpgDSC01910.jpgResearch is the key. I found this supposedly Cal-French restaurant (more like American), even though it’s listed as $$$, they have casual business lunch menu. The place looks sophisticated, the waiters dressed in black silk and all…but they were playing lame-ass pop songs ^^;; They gave us bread (good) and olives (too soaked and mushy). The egg-shaped Shrek ears olive oil jar is interesting, there’s another layer inside holding the herbs. But it’s all in one-piece.

DSC01904.jpgDSC01905.jpgLeft (not mine): Salmon Enchilada $9.95 Sauteed Salmon in corn tortilla with chipotle sauce, swiss chard. The salmon is a bit too cook for my taste, and really I told him not to order Mexican fusion in a sorta French place ^^;; Right: Mine. Duck Meatloaf with raspberry merlot sauce and garlic mashed potatoes $11.50 Smokey and light, tasty sauce, great! 😀 The meatloaf has rosemary, red bell pepper, onion…and more (can’t tell ^^;;;)
