I’ve been working right next door to this British pub and restaurant The Cat and Fiddle for the past 3 years and I haven’t eat a meal there once. I’ve only been there for drinks as the idea of british pub food is not attractive to me ^^;; Last week I had to meet a friend there for lunch. I got the traditional British dish Shepherd’s Pie: ground lamb and beef casserole with a whipped potato topping. It’s generic one-note tasting. Though I’ve never taste a good one before so can’t compare. My friends had the Sliced Turkey Breast Sandwich and the Veggie Sandwich, both said so-so. The food is not that bad, but I’ll just stick with beer in the future.

I’ve heard about british food…
Your entry confirms the rumours I’ve heard! ^^;.
In an English pub, you should always order greasy fried food like fish&chips or chicken kiev(fried chicken breast stuffed with butter and chives), everything else is bad! ^^;;
haha I’ll give the fish and chip a try next time. Seat what do you eat when you were living in Britain? There must be lots of really good indian food there?
Yeah lots of Indian restaurants, but according to my Indian friends the standard is not that great. My housemates cooked mostly, or China town which all my friends loved, err…^^;;; In Christmas and NY we would go to Haagendaz cafe and have that triple devil chocolate brownie fudge sauce with 3 scoops of ice-cream…^^;;;
