Budwiser

I won the budwiser TV spots job! ! ^o^ 3 of my boards were picked by the client and they want to turn them into a campaign! I didn't really have solid concepts at all, they were just eye-candy frames ^^;;;;; The clients themselves are developing new concepts out of them now and been revisng their scripts for the spots.

So basically the campaign breaks into 3 themes:

The Refreshing Spot

The Color spot

the Splash spot

The downside: it was such a rush job, I had only 2 days to design storyboards (and I did 6 different ones, compare with other designers on the team only did like 1-2, hello!?)! Then we have to rush to production, hiring DP and filming crew and flew to NY to shoot the beer footage in less than a week over the weekend (due to tight schedule, I was spared from going). My art director is Arab so he groaned and stressed about how they will gave him a hard time at airport because it was the 9/11 weekend and he could only get one-way flight ticket to NY. ^^;; Then this week the editors have to edit and cut the footage, but due to some transfering errors we lost few days. After the editors edited the spot by the end of this week, we have only next week to animate the type and logo, which is not so bad, as long as the clients aren't picky and indecisive!

RP, I was wondering for a long time why you didn't show up at all!! Good to have you back. My blog will probably hurt your eyes very much because it is all roasted pork fried duck bloody possibly BSE-infected beef....so don't feel obliged to comment honestly...^^;;;;

That "born on date" thing means they sell the beer the same date they cap it or something? So it's so fresh and stuffs? I don't really know what it's really about, and it sounds stupid to me too. Good thing they changed the script now.
