yeah like the new Apprentice, just show how catty women are and just can't get nor work along with each other, it just suck...like reinforcing the stereotype... :( :(

There's an article in W magazine this month about the show, haha, saying even though the fashion industry like the show but it's a total different reality. The winners are all safe commerical choice that just don't match what's really top model material. It said in reality most of the contestents don't have prospect all at as they are just not skinny enough, way too cheery face (the top ones are all aloof, unapproachable), and way too old (Gemma, Heather and Lily are all 15-16 now, they started at 13-14). The writer said in 1st season that indie medical school girl (Elyse) is the only one that has the propsect of making it (and she really did the best after the show, she found lots of jobs, esp. in HK, she was in cover of HK Vogue and lots of billboards and ads, runway shows, etc), and in 2nd season that nerdy girl (Shandi) is the only one that got potential.

Haha are there one straight male working in Sebastian? What does he think of the environment?

hey, did you guys watch top model yesterday? oh my god, it was so bad!!! i can't believe all of them are so bitchy and catty. this is the worst group of top model wanna be. and the blind blond mom is getting so bitchy ... urgh!! is it really true that pretty girls can't have brains and good personality? im started to believe that more and more now!!!

i would think the fashion designers are fun to watch (especailly the one that look like boy george), but after working at sebastian. . . i think i am finally numb!!

Ha no way, just the hair is a bit alike. May be I like Gemma so much because I wish to look like her :D!

It's actually nice to see that round cute face (which most Asian girls have) is not rejected by the high-fashion industry's beauty standard anymore. Oh other doll face models that're popular now are Heather Marks and Lily Cole. They're really cute too! (but Gemma is more unique and "weird" looking so I like more)

regarding models, I kind of have a crush on Gemma Ward *^^*!!!! I never get tired looking at her, she looks soooo cute and unique, almost like a giant baby doll haha... my favorite photos of her are these spread, also these. Her looks is so versitile that she can looks completely different depends on hair and makeup.

Yeah I almost missed top model last week because they showed some baseball game instead, they re-run it again later in the week. Julie got kicked (the indian girl), only because she let slipped in front of judges that she didn't really want to be a model, she wants to work into fashion industry and being a model is just a stepping stone. That offends Tyra and others...haha... I think that Kristi should go, argh can't stand her "country-ness."
The blind mom looks cool actually with the ice-blonde (not just blonde, but white platium blond), she's like the ice-queen now, they totally bring out her ice-blue eyes. But yeah now she doesn't look friendly and approachable anymore, and does look 80s, but at least retro-80s is IN now, and she also look more unique, less pedestrian looking and more high-fashion model-ish.

btw on the new season America's Next Top Model 3, right now I'm rooting for Yaya, the pretty and graceful girl with big pores, break out and oily skin (problems I'm too familiar with ^^;;), too bad they'll probably kick her out later for this reason, despite she's the best poser and took the best photographs. That blind hippie mom Amanda is so cool looking now with ice-blonde hair, she looks like Annie Lennox! Hope they get rid of all those lame looking ones soon. I can't really tell who'd win this time, there's no obvious front runner.
