Freda | February 10, 2005 10:00 PM
there is different kind of korean cold noodle soup, spicy and non-spicy kind. but korean believe to eat spicy food during summer heat will help you sweat more, thus, cool down your body temp. so you see them eating kimchee stone hot pot on hot summer day! tina | February 15, 2005 01:44 AMtotally, and unhealthy too! I just dunno what those sweet and sour pork sauce are made of, it taste artificial, neither sweet nor sour, and in an odd pinkish orange color...eww.... Freda | February 14, 2005 06:33 AMPear in soup sounds very chinese, though it is usually hot(temperature-wise) soup for winter - is the Korean cold pear soup spicy? Wahaha, poor Freda~~~I can totally understand how you feel~~~bad *westernized* chinese food is usually much more expensive than just bad chinese food, and since bad chinese food is usually ultra greasy which makes you feel like you have taken in unworthy calories which you could spend on 3 other better meals~~~~ ^^;;;;; seat | February 12, 2005 05:42 PMoh a few of us wrote negative comments right away. Freda | February 12, 2005 09:18 AMYeah I like the pear cold noodle too~ I love korean food, even Korean-chinese food too! Freda | February 12, 2005 08:55 AMI specially like korean cold noodle (neinmein) on hot summer days too!! it's so cooling and they put pear in the soup too!!! yeah, we should go to Kobawoo sometimes. i haven't find a korean place that i really love yet, maybe this will be the one. tina | February 12, 2005 05:26 AMThe Korean place I went is really good! We should go there as a group sometimes (since the food is good to share in family style). It's called Kobawoo House, it's on Vermont and 7th street. They're famous for their pork wrap and seafood pancake, both are sooooo yummy. Other stuffs we tried are very yummy too (fish egg soup, and some noodle...sorry I'm totally clueless of their names in Korean ^^;;). The day before I had clam soup noodle and that was very yummy too. Joan | February 12, 2005 04:06 AMit's the perfect weather to have hot, fullfilling korean food!!! i recently watched a cooking show about korean food, and found out what a long history kochujan has!! made me appriciate korean food even more!! how are the side dishes? normal? i like it when they serve kimchee with raw oyester! tina | February 12, 2005 01:43 AM
