Cafe Med (Hollywood)

Food 08: Hollywood

DSC03610.jpgDSC03611.jpgDSC03613.jpgDSC03615.jpgCafe Med is an Italian place over at the Sunset Plaza. Carpaccio di Carne con Rucola, Palmitos e Parmigiano thinly sliced beef with arrugola, hearts of palm and parmesan. $11.75. Calamaretti Fritti con Zucchine, Basilico e Salsa Piccante fried baby squid with zucchini, crispy basil served with spicy tomato sauce. $10.75 I'm not too sure what the pasta thing was...could be Pappardelle al Telefone, wide noodle with tomato, basil, mozzarella and cream sauce ^^;; . I like the sliced beef thing the best. Bascially everything taste good! :)

Comments:

Though general HK people seems to prefer chewy noodle (the "gan-sui-noodle"), reason why my dad can't stand Taiwanese noodles because they're too soft and mushy ^^:;

Chinese too actually, chinese like their pasta, or noodles in general, soft.

Oh the pasta looks good~~~the only Italian I went in Canada had pasta too overcooked - I am so used to Japanese styled very hard and chewy and just-cooked pasta, so soft soggy pasta is gross for me. Wonder that Italian I went was just no good(but it was a $$$$ restaurant!) or Canadians like their pasta soggy. Well, do go and find out in your next trip. ^^;;
