There's a Hokkaido Fair in Mitsuwa Markets, full of fresh Hokkaido's seafood directly from Japan. We went to the one in Torrance and had the Ika-meshi (grilled squid with stuffed rice inside), Crab and Ikura Bento box and Three Color Bento. Yum! There was also this Hokkaido Ramen but the line was too long. The egg pudding is cute (the 'egg yolk' is apricot). There was also a slow and loooong line for soft icecream, so we didn't queue... does it really taste that special? ^^;;

Looks like a painful-to-watch film~~~~~~

Yeah everything is air-transported from Hokkaido, so they're quite expensive (the Three color bento box is $16), hence the soft-icecream is worth waiting in line ^^;;

Ang Lee's new film Brokeback Mountain's trailer is out, Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal and cowboy love~ ;D

Oh my! Hokkaido fair even in LA!! All the food are air-transported from Hokkaido?! How was the price?

I have had the Hokkaido soft-cream a few times before and they tasted nice but pretty normal - the milk they used was from Hokkaido that's all. ^^;;;

you guys went there specially for the hokkaido fair!?
ah the egg pudding is cute! reminds me how much work grace had to put in to make egg-shape packaging! makes me appreciate it more!!
I wonder if the soft icecream was sent directly from hokkaido as well?
