Vanille de Patissarie (San Marino)

Food 01: San Gabriel

DSC05662.jpgDSC05665.jpgThere are oh-so-little choice for a nice comfy quiet place for chatting at night nearby where we live (we always settled for this other Taiwanese cafe but it's too embarassingly populated by teenagers, though they make very good drink indeed, espeically milk tea!). Another option is the Taiwanese bakery+cafe where we went long time ago. The cakes still ranged from so-so to bad (the supposedly mousse is oily and heavy like cream!). A slight improvement: they finally got a basic French 101 cafe-compile soundtrack playing. ^^;;

Comments:

PS I think the correct spelling is Vanille de Patisserie

I always want to give them a try. I hope they close late!

Haha I thought about your French 101 critique last time I went. But they actually alternate, sometimes they play English oldies.

I actually go there relatively often, and hence the "only the tiramisu is nice" verdict. Because I've tried a lot of their different cakes and they taste... scarily... similar. I so want to go try the restaurants around Freda's workplace, they seem really really nice, but soooooooooo far ^^;;;

The mont blanc is sooo bad, doesn't even taste like chestnut at all!

The cakes look professional in the pictures though. They even have mont blanc! Again looks can be deceiving....
