My IF co-worker Brian is amazing in decorating and hosting Holloween parties. We were all so impressed by last year's (especially with the wax-covered firepalce) that we wondered how he could top himself this year. And boy did he top it. This year the party is even more impressive, more $ spend with more crazy labor. The theme was Day of the dead. He made a giant skull head out of paper mache which he put it on top of a tree. On the front lawn there's a mechanical bull which is a lot of fun, though I didn't go on because the pants I wore was a little too tight so I was afraid something might happen...^^;; Like last year there's a pumpkin carving contest. Brian's roomate works for the Ellen Degeneres show and he got them to donate a flat screen TV for the winner. But I had no idea who the winner was in the end.

DSC06200.jpgDSC06194.jpgThe decor throughout the entire house were just amazing! He did them so stylishly and tastefully even though it could easily be cheesy Holloween-ish. The many red skulls all over the fire place were so spooky and cool. Apparently he paper mached a bunch of these $1 skulls (which could lit up) on it. Well at least it should easier to dissemble than last year wax one.

There's also a big skull head on top of the entrance on the roof too (not in picture). I love the red lamps hanging at the backyard, very pretty. We left the party at around 1-ish. I heard that later on the giant skull in the backyard was crushed and destoryed by heavily drunken guys. They almost destroyed the tree inside also. ^^;;;

Comments:

yeah he said the giant skull head took him 3 days to make!
The fireplace would take at least 2 days and more I would think. Plus other decoration...don't know where he find the time to do all that!
