IF X'mas party @ Cafe de Artist
I hope you guys have a happy X'mas. I almost forgot about this entry. For the last two X'mas parties I've gone to they had catering in the office and the food was top notch! May be due to an increase number of people, this year IF X'mas party was held at a nearby restaurant, Cafe de Artist. I've been there few times before and I don't have good impression at all, so I didn't expect too much ... We took up the patio portion in the back. A collegue/art director who's a DJ spinned at the party, but in the end no one dance (unlike last two parties).
Full bar to drink as much as you want. Look at the so-call salads....urgghh urgghhhh -___-;;; Bascially just seeing the food you already don't feel like eating them.
All the food are very bland tasting. Dry chicken breast, mash potato and mushroom, dry salmon....all taste so blahhhh~~ I had few bites and couldn't eat the rest.
The pasta are ok. Dessert is apple pie...which is ok, not too bad. But still...everything is so bland and not gourmet at all! The party itself is alright, had some fun conversations here and there. Ironically many other motion design companies had their X'mas party on the same night. I wonder if they did that on purpose. So a lot of the freelancers (or designers who would love to "network") had to party hopped. I should have gone to the National's halfway, apparently some ArtCenter classmates (ex: Earl, Preston) showed up there instead.
