Hummus Place (NYC: East Village)

Food 20: NYC

Another sample from the East side, Hummus Place, a tiny place that eats only...hummus (middle eastern spread).

Shakshuka, a mediterranean tomato and vegetable stew with 2 eggs. Very tasty~ *O* and totally warms you up.

The pita bread are incredibly puffy and amazing. This hummus has beans stew, tahini, egg and spices.
DSC08423.jpgThe hummus + soup + tea set or Shakshuka + hummus + tea set are $8.95 each...so fair, so warm, so good~ There are so many interesting little places like this all over East side, I can't wait to try them all. Too bad Joan went back to LA yesterday.

Comments:

Yeah mint tea, so GOOD! If I were to grow some pot of plants I'd definitely grow mint leaf ^^;;

I can eat but never crave hummus, but the dishes you ordered look incredible! Is that mint tea with fresh mint leaves? I love those!
