Flor's Kitchen (NYC: East Village)

We finally explored the East side and LOVE it! The indie and cheap-eat vibe is incredible. There're so many creative or authentic multi-ethnic little restaurants. We went into this tiny Venezuelan restaurant Flor's Kitchen.

Asado Negro: slow cooked beef in a sweet sauce, very tender and tasty! Tuna Ceviche: ahi-tuna with red onions, mango & avocado in lime and chipotle broth. So good! Ceviche is sort of like a seafood salad dish.

Malta drink and dessert Bienmesaba, which is like a non-mocha coconut flavored brandy-soaked sickly sweet Tiramisu~ ^^;; One aspect I love New York most is that it is so ethnically diverse where everywhere you hear conversations in ten different languages. People also loves to ask you where you're from (esp. if you obviously don't look like a New Yorker). And I have urges to say I'm from HK rather than LA. Needless to say, East Village (and Lower East side) is now my favorite area in Manhattan~ It is hip but unpretentious and very cultural.
