Sugar Sweet Sunshine, a very cute and cozy sweet shop that makes cupcakes only~ I vaguely remember it from TV and I thought, cupcakes!? How good can it be!? it is still sickly sweet and rough sponge cupcakes right? I got the choco one and a mini-cheesecake with strawberries and blueberries. Turns out the taste is just...normal. I mean, no matter how 'the best' it was praised it's still just cupcakes. The cheesecake is nice though. It did made me happy and feel like a child. Oh it is located right next to Psyop.

That area is quite messy and starting to get a bit ghetto, like echo park/downtown LA...so Sugar Sunshine totally stood out ^^:;. I was told that, the 'coolness' of these motion design places is sorta reflected in where they locate ^^;; on a spectrum from downtown (cool) - uptown (commercial and corp). Like BNS and Stardust are at China Town, Psyop at Lower east...I guess us and IF aren't so cool as we're in midtown..^^:;

The interior seems very cute! How's Psyop office look like? is it surrounded by little cute cafes/restaurant?

the cupcake with sprinkles reminds me of elementary school days in the US! ^0^
although I can toootally imagine the not-so-good taste, i probably would be tempted to buy one for nostalgic purposes...especially if they have multi-colored sprinkles.
