2 weeks worth of order-in

Food 08: Hollywood

I had to order-in food for both lunch and dinner everyday, including weekends, for the past 2 weeks when I was involved in the project that we pitched against Freda's company. The PAs (production assisstent) usually come around the office to take everyone's order. Paid by company of course ^_^ I think we tried almost all the best possible places around Hollywood that delivers. At some point I felt sick of eating because most of the food were so unhealthy ^^;; Here are some highlights:

Thai Pineapple Fried Rice from a thai place Chandara. It's very strong tasting and big portion, I ate this for two nights. My attempt of eating healthier: Veggie Wrap from a deli I forgot the name of.

Grilled Vegetables from an Italian place Fabiolus. I had their pastas many times before (from past take outs) and they're all no good. Besides, my stomach couldn't handle carb heavy pasta so I got their vegetables which is an appetiizer. I especially love those big flat mushroom. Japanese-Style Baked Alaskan Black Cod from a mixed Asian place Buddha's Belly. The most gourmet one of all. In fact this place doesn't deliver, but many of us craved gourmet Asian food so the PAs drove there to pick them up for us. The fish is very delicious. I'm glad to be able to eat more healthy Asian food (that's not heavy tasting thai) in the midst of all the Italian/pizza/sandwich we usually get.

Veggie Quesadilla from Wild Oats cafe, so so. I also got a squash soup and it's terrible. Salad Nicoise from Cheebo. An organic healthy place which I did an entry of long long time ago (when the blog first started?) It's very good. Cajun blacken Platter from a Brazilian place Bossa Nova. We order a lot from this place and I usually get their sandwich or salad which are so-so. So I tried this platter and I'm hooked! I got this twice when we order from them again. Very tasty though feels unhealthy ^^;;

Mushroom Pizza from Jones which I did an entry before. Not as good as I expected, but I was craving pizza that day for some reason. Supreme Duck from a thai place Pink Pepper. I forgot to order rice so I stole some from someone else's ^^;; The duck is cooked like cantonese ones but with different type of sause. Good but greasy.

After all these take out, I craved homemade plain tasting meal, especially congee!

hehehe...my company won the job! ;D
I know what you mean, weekend work + bad food...double torture. I had pizza the entire time too...that big experimental dinner at WD-50 really redeem that. Wonder of a great meal can do!

Poor Joan, but at least they are free. Imagine I have been paying for a lot of bad lunches lately...^^;; Me too have been really busy...working on weekends. The worst and the most depressing thing is to have to work on weekends AND have bad lunches...
