Magnolia (Sunset Blvd)

Food 08: Hollywood

magnolia03.jpgMet up with a friend at this new Italian place on Sunset. Funny to see a big group of employees from Picture Mill (one of IF's main competitors) there. My friend got the Lobster Ravioli and I got the Bolognese. As someone who doesn't get excite about Italian food, I really enjoy these two dishes a lot, particularly the Lobster Ravioli. The skin is so soft and fresh. The sauce for both dishes are great with subtle multiple flavors, not the usual predictable taste you get from most Italian places. Good to find a new walking distance lunching spot that's good!

Italian not your favourite?!! I didn't know that!! ^^;;;
But it is true that there are overwhelming number of places serving over-cooked drenched-in-sauce tiringly-big-portion spaghetti and calling themselves Italian. Good Italian that leaves an impression is hard to find!
