The Hungry Cat (Hollywood)

We've been looking forward to try this place for awhile. It's from the same owner of A.O.C.. They open for lunch recently and Michelle treated couple of us (from the job-from-nightmare team). Fish Tacos, special of the day. the PUG burger-bacon, avocado and blue cheese.
Lobster roll w/ Longley fries, the lobster roll is very good, but the fries were a bit soggy and dry. Spicy local squid salad w/ frisee and apple , tasty but a bit too much sauce. The squid is smooth and soft, wish there were more pieces.
vanilla beignets w/ blackberry compote, the only dessert they have. Hmm...very very so-so. Perhpas it's just the nature of beignets, they're really just donut....the blackberry sauce is not bad, a bit too strong tasting though. Overall not as impressive as A.O.C. The food are quite pricey too.

The lobster...is in the sauce? Or inside the sponge-cake looking thing? Interesting.
