Three Pasta

Food 23: Kitchen

It's been awhile we post an entry on our own cooking. We're still in pasta cooking stage ^^;;

I got the recipe from Jonathan who got it from a Naked Chef book. A simple and easy to make pasta that's refreshing for the hot weather. Basil, Tomato with Red Wine Vinegar: chopped grape tomatos, fresh basil leaves and garlic into pieces and add in sea salt and red wine vinegar. Mix them well with the pasta and that's it. It's that easy. When Jon first made it he didn't have red wine vinegar so he just mix red wine and vinegar. Totally works too. :)

Mentaiko: cream + butter mixed in with mentaiko. We mistakenly added WAY too much butter...

Bolognese: grounded beef cooked in butter + olive oil, 30+ crushed cherry tomatoes, onion, garlic, salt & pepper, white wine. The sauce was cooked for over 30 minutes. Even though we didn't have herb, it taste really good~ The sauce totally sink into the meat. Success! :D

Comments:

I saw kewpie Tarako sauce in market, maybe it'd be easier to just use those than making it yourself, sure will taste better, and equally unhealthy ^^;; The tarako seems so 'hard' when I cooked them too.

not sure, but isn't it the only item featuring tarako kewpie?
but you're right, they do promote it really
heavily, for just a spaghetti sauce!

I'd sure look out for Kewpie Tarako in market ^^:; is it their best selling items? They promote it so heavily (so many versions of that wacky cute ad).

That peach pasta looks so good, it's like meal + dessert in one ^^;;
