Haven't had the chance to try the dinner and Monday night tasting menu at the popular (and expensive) Campanile so we tried their Sunday brunch first. It's nice that we got a table at the courtyard area with sky windows. The space was originally built to be Chaplin's office.

Cast Iron Spanish Egg potatos, piquillo peppers, chorizo. I have always love this egg dish and this is exceptionally good. The ingredients are fresh. Every bite of the runny eggs with the flavorful peppers and chorizo is incredible.

Quiche Lorraine bacon, ham, gruyere, pan de mie. It's my first time to have a quiche that smooth and creamy. We asked for jam for the toast and it was fantastic.

The dishes are a little on the pricey side but this is a very delightful meal nonetheless. I can see why it's famous. It is right next door to La Brea bakery. Both are previously co-owned by Nancy Silverton, who now is known for Mozza.

She and Mark sold LaBrea bakery for $68.5 million.

Nancy no longer owns either restaurant. She sold them both when she divorced her husband, Campanile's exec chef Mark Peel. Mark owns Campanile, and La Brea Bakery was sold to some other corporation for something like $6 mil. Mozza is her new pet project.

Wow the interior~~~like time-slipping back to medieval England. I want to eat there!
