Babalu (Montana)Food 13: Culver City
The waitress never came over to fill our drinks nor check up even once. When we paid the bills with credit card, it took her 20 mins to come back. There were 5-6 other tables when we handed in the creidt card, but when the bill finally came back we were the last table remaining. Perhaps we didn't look like your typical westside yuppies...hence the attitude. Freda | August 20, 2007 08:04 AM
Oh that's what it is...? ^^;; There were some ethnic motifs art all over the place so I wasn't sure what this place is about, other than being, 'Californian' (= we have everything). I think many Americans don't know how to make rice dish properly, why can't they think of pasta, would anyone eat gooey & soggy pasta? And the sauce, sorry to say, is no different from those "Tea Restaurant" tomato rice. Freda | August 23, 2007 05:45 AMApparently Jambalaya is "a New World version of the Old World dish paella". Interesting! Too bad it is no good... seat | August 22, 2007 10:04 PM
