Nice Shanghai food, friendly service.

  1. So the restaurant is called “HK Old Restaurant” but it’s really Shanghai food? The food all looked good (maybe due to I find Shanghai/Northern food more attractive/exotic/better tasting than southern/canton food ^^;;) There used to be a very good Shanghai restaurant nearby when we lived in North Point, and as a child I didn’t like Chinese food and the only one i ever liked (enough to overturn my preference) is that Shanghai place. Like the use of red dates, the pan-fried pie…mouth watering

    To translate 怪味鶏 into English would be cute: ‘Weird/bizzare/odd taste Chicken’… not very appetite sounding. ^^;;

  2. Yeah, I am so tired of Cantonese food, Shanghai or Szechuan or other provincial food are definitely more interesting!
