Hi Sanji, thanks! The ingredients have to be very fresh and good quality for this kind of washoku so I guess the expensive price and small portion are inevitable.

Hello Seat,

It is true that the portions are not really big for lunch. On the other hand, I found the food extremely tasty, and the ingredients of the highest quality, as you did, too.

By the way, this restaurant got 2 stars in the Michelin 2008 guide - with lunch under 3800 yen, it is a true bargain
And… thanks for the link! I really love this blog, and would have commented a lot more, but unfortunately, adding comments on old messages is not possible. But this is probably the best resource for great restaurants in Tokyo!

I think such tiny courses would be more impressive if there were more variety and more courses (at last 10! ^^;;)

Ah~~the sidebar doesn’t show~~^^;;

There were two 2 choices for desserts and as the waitress explained each item in details, we were like fussing over “oh which one should we get~~?” for a long time, and then the dessert came and it was this tiny little thing…so we were a bit taken back. ^^;;; Taste-wise it is good though.
