I don’t think they are ordinary because I actually ate them but I thought people who just look at the photos will think that way. ^^;;;;

Ordinary and simple just seems like a mislabel for your photos ^^;; Things like Hamo, Kanten… The food looks so delicate, seems like a perfect for a quiet slow lunch or evening.

Yes the green thing is ginkgo nuts. Usually appetizer in a Japanese course is mostly cold stuff so I was happy that a few items were warm.

Oh no the food doesn’t look ordinary nor sound simple to me at all, it looks great! Fig with goma(sesame) sauce sound very delicious. Sometimes “simple” food like this is harder to make well. The top right pix seems exotic, what’s that green grape-like thing? the ginkgo nuts?
