超特選にぎり、2100円。 中とろ2カン、うに、たい、赤貝、松葉がに、大甘海老、イクラ、穴子、ねぎとろ巻き、玉子。
あぶりづくし、819円。
The 2100yen set has two toro, uni, bream, ark shell, crab, shrimp, salmon roe, anago, spring onion and tuna roll, and sweet egg. Very fresh and big size(while the rice is small)! We shared the flame-cooked sushi set, and I had the toro, very good!

秋刀魚、157円。関サバ、350円。白子焼き、850円。
The seasonal stuff, two san-ma(saury?) and one seki-saba(mackerel). Both are good! The mackerel is so cheap yet very fatty. Grilled shirako is the seafood version of foie gras, creamy!
This place is always very crowded and you have to queue forever. I went once before, like 4 or 5 years ago. It was very delicious but the long wait put me off from going back again. This time we went at 9pm on a weekday and we were seated very quickly! Though we had to order everything quickly cos the last order was 10pm.

I got traumatized by really horrible uni, but then I craved it again very soon. ^^;;

Once I've had a Toro (at a so-so sushi place where I shouldn't had order premium stuffs) taste soo fattening... almost like...pig fat...that...I got a bit traumatized since then...^^;;;

The aburi sushi was very good. Actually it was my friend's order, but she doesn't like tuna, including toro and maguro, so I ate the aburi toro for her. ^^;; Next time I want to order the whole set for myself!

I think they use a burner to cook the surface(not sure "aburi" is translated to "broiled" or simply "flame-cooked"), so the fish is still raw inside, while the surface is roasted and becomes juicy. It is a must-try, if you see a sushi place offers that! Also Shirako, impossible to imagine how it tastes by reading about it...it is nothing like squid, the texture is just like foie gras...oh I give up, just go try it! ^^;;

Gosh, everything just looks soooo YUM.
I am a big big fan of toro as well, *wink*
the boiled set seems a bit weird coz I hav never tried anything like that before.
but it was nice, wasn't it? LOL

The cooked fish looked even more yummy than the sashimi (didn't know what they'd taste like~) I still don't understand what is "shirako"...it doesn't look like it'd be creamy, seems like squid texture...?
