超特選にぎり、2100円。 中とろ2カン、うに、たい、赤貝、松葉がに、大甘海老、イクラ、穴子、ねぎとろ巻き、玉子。
あぶりづくし、819円。
The 2100yen set has two toro, uni, bream, ark shell, crab, shrimp, salmon roe, anago, spring onion and tuna roll, and sweet egg. Very fresh and big size(while the rice is small)! We shared the flame-cooked sushi set, and I had the toro, very good!

秋刀魚、157円。関サバ、350円。白子焼き、850円。
The seasonal stuff, two san-ma(saury?) and one seki-saba(mackerel). Both are good! The mackerel is so cheap yet very fatty. Grilled shirako is the seafood version of foie gras, creamy!
This place is always very crowded and you have to queue forever. I went once before, like 4 or 5 years ago. It was very delicious but the long wait put me off from going back again. This time we went at 9pm on a weekday and we were seated very quickly! Though we had to order everything quickly cos the last order was 10pm.

Absolutely delicious! The fish were all seasoned and flavoured and the rice did not have much sugar and vinegar taste probably for the balance. The sushi lunch course was 5000 yen. The ikura and wasabi little rice bowl and 3 different kinds of soup came with the course – the little one in the first pic was clam soup, very good. The pics are a bit blurry cos when I started taking pics the chef said to me, “It is for eating, not for (photo)taking. ” He didn’t seem so threatening even though he was holding a knife, so I ignored him and carried on taking. ^^;;; I did try to take them as quick as possible hence the blurry outcome.

The shop is inside the famous fish market, which opens from 5am and closes at 2pm. From 5-8, it is crowded with fishermen and fish buyers, after 11pm it is crowded with people going for lunch. So I took my HK friends to go at the time when it is supposed to be less busy…yet there it was, a long queue of tourists(mainly Hongkongers! How the hell did they find out this place?!). We waited for half an hour and got in, which is not bad considering the norm waiting time is an hour apparently. It is a small shop but there are seats, about 10 seats? The 3670yen set course includes 10 sushi that the chef decides, then you can choose an extra one, which I chose Uni. Yeah it comes in 1 piece only. We ordered abalone, scallop and prawn ourselves separately. It is very famous and busy so I thought it would be a rush to eat…but waiting outside is hell, once you get in and sit down, it is heaven! The chef is very relaxed and very friendly and not rushing you to eat quick at all!! I know you shouldn’t forget the people waiting outside but you just don’t care anymore…^^;;; Actually my friend’s husband who is French went with us, but unfortunately he decided not to go in last minute cos he doesn’t like sushi anyway and you can only order sushi set course. He went out walking around himself and my friend and I were supposed to meet him an hour later but we were enjoying ourselves so much that we completely forgot about the time!! He was waiting and waving us outside the shop and we didn’t notice until we had ate 3 additional orders….he was quite mad….^^;;
