Sausage Stand (Prague: Wenceslas Square)

By in Prague

The Wenceslas Square was once a historically significant gathering/protest space in Prague. Now it seems to known more as the ‘Sausage square’. 😉 It is packed with hungry tourists and shoppers queuing at sausage stands. Apparently there were threats of banning them last year.

We passed by here quite a few times and always lured by the wonderful smell. We gave in eventually.

Sausage with sauerkraut
. We just point and click and didn’t know which sausage it is. It’s very good: hot, juicy, crispy on the outside and light texture in the side. Not too trashy tasting either. Though later I was told that the ‘white’ sausage is very good too.
