Vietnamese Restaurant (Monterey Park)

By in 01: San Gabriel

DSC05646.jpgDSC05641.jpgDSC05648.jpgSounds crazy but I forgot the name of the restaurant!!! O,O;;; (help here: it’s B1 floor at a plaza on Atlantic and Garvey, right next to a Shabu Shabu place). Unforgivable because I really enjoyed the food, one of the best and more authentic Vietnamese restaurants. Both the Grilled Pork set and Pork Ball & Spring roll Bun are fantastics. I love the Salty Lemon Drink. The location used to be a French restaurant opened by HKer, which of course was folded because of low response (it wasn’t good anyway). Parts of the French decor remains, but now they were added with kitschy red sofa seats and “disco-ball” ish dance floor, and a plasma TV screen playing “60s-que but without irony” contemporary Vietnamese singing shows. ^^;;

    It’s like besides the main dish (pork), it has to come with all kinds of sides (sausage, shrimp cake) hence soooooo filling~~~
