Just got these pictures from Yan’s camera, a dinner from many weeks ago. We ordered quite a lot and finished everything even though there were only just two of us “skinny” girls :P! There are so many items on the menu that it was kind of hard to choose. Yan said their quality is not so consistence either, some dishes are great some aren’t. The Beef tataki is good but I like Yabu‘s better. Forgot what the tofu thing is called, but it’s very good.

The Eggplant is a little too heavy and oily. I love the ishikari nabe (Salmon stew with sake) very much.

Haban cheese and Enoki mushroom and scallop are both good. The Chawanmushi isn’t so good though. The egg custard is so rough, even though the soup base is quite tasty, I’ve had much better ones elsewhere.

The chawanmushi has holes in it!! Not a good sign.
I salmon stew with sake looks nice – I have never tried before! But I have certainly heard of 石狩鍋 before. I wonder where I can eat that.

age is fry and dashi is soup stock.
