This signless restaurant in a mini-mall is one of the two vietnamese places in the hipster/Mexican neighborhood. While it’s very authentic and down to earth, the menu is very minimal. The cripsy egg vegetable crepe came ‘unwrapped’ and we made an ugly mess. ^^;; The beef are very tender, though the broth is a bit light and not onion-sweet enough for my taste. Good cheap eat though.

I think the Vietnamese crepes here are made without egg (I’ve seen recipes both ways, but when I’ve asked, at least, they claim there are no eggs).
I believe the yellow comes from tumeric.
I see, that’s interesting because it tasted like egg!
The crepe skin stick together so we were having hard time taking them piece by piece and wrap the egg/vegetables. we end up eating them seperately ^^;;
oh was it one of those vietnamese-spring rolls?
yeah, those are so hard and tiring to wrap!
but my vietnamese friend does it so perfectly–guess it just takes practice! ^^;;
