Avenue (Manhattan Beach)

By in 17: South Bay

The global killer heat wave last weekend diminished any appetite I have. Even escaping to the beach is futile, the usually cool ocean breeze is just heat…:( This $$$ restaurant by the beach has Sunday Brunch, we sat outside unwittingly . I was sweating thru the entire meal…

Arnold Palmer (Lemonade + tea) is exceptional, they used sparkling water, so cooling! Potato Beef Brisket Hash with eggs, a bit disappointed because the beef brisket wasn’t tender.

Homemade Honey Yogurt with Fig and and the very sweet & fresh Corn Soup. Both are incredible.

The service was turtle speed though (there was only one waitress). She spilled my coffee all over the saucer and promise a replacement, it came by the time I almost finished the cup ^^;; Well it was hot and she’s only one person, so didn’t bother me too much…

    The dessert looks much more tempting than it sounds! At first I thought it was tofu with marron. ^^;;;

    Tofu with marron sounds so good (too ‘creative’ for LA restaurant ^^;;)
