Trastevere Ristorante Italiano (Hollywood)

By in 08: Hollywood

Ok more old pictures. ^^;;

DSC00391.jpgDSC00397.jpgPanini with Proscuitto and Mozzarella, very good! Well it’s something you can’t really go wrong, but I really expected them to…

DSC00394.jpgDSC00398.jpgThe Olive pate that came with the bread is really good! And there’s aftermeal dessert (free), almond cookies…they taste so good! I’m impressed!

We went to the Kodak Theater during work because we needed to go to Sephora. All the restaurants in that mall don’t seem good (those slick type), but we were too hungry so we settle for Trastevere. There’s one in Santa Monica too and I remember their pastas were bad. So stick with stuffs that can’t really go wrong.

The lunch was total $19 and we put down $30 for change. But that stupid waitress thought we only put $20 and she got all pissed and gave us dirty look and murmuring to fellow waitress, while we wasted long time waiting for our change. At last we asked her and she gave us some coins for change as if she couldn’t believe we would asked for some lousy coin changes. Then we told her, “we put down $30.” She finally woke up “OH I didn’t check carefully~” and went to mend her mistakes. GEEZ really hate people giving you attitude and ruin the day’s mood because of her own stupid mistake. Please do we look that cheap!?

    I am so glad that Japan doesn’t have the tipping system! I really hate those waiters’ sneering looks when I give too little tips in HK. But at least that waitress realised her mistake at last – what if she starts arguing that you put only 20, that would be hell. ^^;;;

    Yeah I was afraid that she would insist we only paid $20…geez…I felt like being a bitch and thought may be I should really not leave her any tip afterward ^^;;;

    haaa, you guys shouldn’t worry, there is no way that you can look cheap!!! but yeah, tipping was so weird when i first moved here. it’s almost like i am not only paying for the food i am eating, but hell if i want good service, i better pay for that too!!!

    by the way, joan , are you feeling better? i heard it’s going to rain again tomorrow and wed. remember to bring an umbrela okay!! 😀

    that’s why I felt more ‘valued” when I shop/eat at Japan because what I paid exactly what I saw. There’e no extra $5-$10 in calculation on the back of my mind…
