Finally try the very hyped yogurt from Pinkberry. Apparently there’s a yogurt boom in LA right now thanks to Pinkberry. For quite some time there was only one shop in LA locate at West Hollywood. Now it’s multiplying fast. There’s one opened on 6th street in Koreatown and another coming soon in Larchmont village. A new one opened on Melrose Ave. next to the ever-so-crowded M de Chaya, now with Pinkberry the parking situation is going to be get worse. Unwisely me and my colleagues went there around 5:00 pm. ^^;; We lined up a bit, it wasn’t too bad as the WeHo one. They have two flavors: original and green tea, plus various toppings to choose from. The yogurt taste fresh and milky, not too sweet or sour. It’s definitely a good refreshing and healthy sweet treat, especially for summer time. Though I don’t think I’m crazy enough to go back specifically for them. I still much prefer gelato which I definitely won’t mind make effort to drive to/line up for!

    “pinkberry” is such a cute name:D
    (a bit disappointed by the tacky
    exterior/logo though, especially cuz
    I thought the name was so cute ^^;;)

    But just 2 flavours – original(yogurt?) and green tea? ^^;;;

    The interior is also tacky. It tries very hard to be modern designy and slick, all the chairs are Phillippe Starck’s Chairs (Louis Ghost and La Marie), yet there’s no personality at all.

    Yeah only 2 flavors, and taste rather similar ^^;;

    There’s another two flavored (original and green tea) Italian(?) yogurt shop operated by Korean in Japan village plaza, tastes okay though the green tea one is pretty sour imo at first few bites…

    Is there some yogurt boom in Korea now? ^^;;;
