Cake House Galleria (Sawtelle)

By in 12: Sawtelle

A new bakery opened at the corner of Sawtelle & Olympic plaza, replacing the old charming Japanese Bakery (with delicious cakes and wood craft food miniature buttons on chalk board) that was sadly close. The new bakery is actually the new branch of Cake House Galleria of Koreatown. The interior was all white minimal (with little personality), but their Macaron was so GOOD! Unfortunately the Black Sesame one was crushed by my bag, it’s my favorite one. The texture is so right on, so addictive!

I’ll have to try those. I had some of the best macarons I’ve found in LA the other day at Little Next Door (next to The Little Door) on 3rd Street.

Supposedly there’s a macaron fad in LA coming I heard? (after the gelato, cupcakes, pinkberry yogurt trend…^^;; I completely missed out on the cupcakes). I gotta try Little Next Door’s, thanks for recommendation Tiffany~ A friend recommended me La Provence on Olympic for good Macaron…I’d do a LA macaron hunt one of these days.
