The ultimate comfort food: Homemade Corn Beef Hash.

DSC01996.jpgThis is good. Not that greasy too. I emphasized the word “homemade” because on the menu you can order ‘canned’ version, strange…^^;;; The side cottage potatoes with pepper and onion are not oily too, very good. This is a very popular diner nearby the Sony Pictures Studio, you can customized your pancakes, omelettes, etc.

    canned hash on the menu??
    yeah, mystifying!!
who would prefer canned over homemade….?

S&W is mediocre!! I don’t understand why there is always a mob outside on the weekends waiting for a table. It is greasy!! Look into the kitchen, and you can see piles of cooked bacon, waiting to be reheated for you. And the portions are gigantic. Next time you are in Culver City for breakfast, go to The Metro Cafe.

You were lucky to have ordered something not greasy and without pre-cooked bacon. ^^;; Really, dining experience can be so different depending what you order.

Oh thanks for the warning Triplecreme~ ^^;; I’d try Metro Cafe too. I really enjoyed the corn beef hash here though. I heard that it used to be good (before it was S&W, it was called Sam & Woody), but it was changed after one of the owner left. And the food changed too. The mob probably are leftovers from their glory days.
