  1. What is the first picture on the right? OH MY the dessert ‘tray’ is soooo nice~~ so luxurious feeling, like they are piece of art in display.
    How do you know these restaurants? From Japanese guidebook? ^^;;;

  2. The right top pic is pumpkin, ham and some thin dry pancake slice sandwiched together. Yeah the dessert(it is free) shelf thing is nice BUT it is so unstable(too tall too thin) that everyone worries it will fall so we end up putting the sweets on a plate. ^^;;;; The sweets are just so-so. I went out with dinner with my family and they all wanted me to pick a restaurant(how the hell do I know?!!) and I couldn’t find any local restaurant guide book at all(seems like everyone reads weekly magazines or find info from internet) and I went to Mitsukoshi and picked this restaurant from a Japanese guide book on HK. ^^;;;;;;;; And when I stepped inside this restaurant I knew it would not be nice because most of the customers were white people/foreigners – turned out the food was okay, not like bad-bad, but not that fantastic either to worth that kind of price. The restaurant is in a 5 star hotel, and my dad said he ate there a couple of times simply because his business clients stayed in that hotel and they didn’t want to go out so just ate there. Bad pick indeed!

  3. Haha my dad always wanted a tray like that (much bigger I supposed) to display his yixing teapots collections. ^^;; Did the bad pick sorta discredit your “gourmet hunter” fame in your family for picking a for-foreigners high end 5 star hotel restaurant ^^;;

  4. Ahahaha, my family knows I don’t know any good chinese restaurants in HK since I have been away for so long and I don’t like chinese food in the first place anyway. My dad just blamed my sister for making me pick a restaurant. ^^;;;

  5. It’s always like this: “oh seat just got back to HK, let her pick what she wants to eat” (yet you would want to concern what THEY want to eat) ^^;;;
