蒙古タンメン定食。
I wonder if people in Mongolia really put mapo tofu into their noodles….the tofu is too thick too starchy – not my cup of tea. But the soup is really spicy and good.

  1. so are you finding better places around ikebukuro? ^o^

could you do a posting on Itabashi area and Ooyama!? Especially some places around “Ooyama Happy Road”!!

  2. Oh there are so many ramen-ya in ikebukuro that I want to go! But as you know, ramen-ya is so “guy”…this shop opened at 11a.m. and I went at 11:10a.m. and there was already a queue….and all were guys except one couple!! I waited for only 10 minutes so it was okay but still….

I did one entry of a casual French in Ooyama…there is really nothing nice to eat there! Seriously! Also I always come out early and go back late, not much chance to eat there.

  3. haha, I totally know what you mean about oyama!

    maybe you could try 福屋…
    they have kangaroo/ostrich meat shabu-shabu!

  4. definitely looked “northern chinese” style, haha, I dunno if Mongolia has mapo tofu, maybe the china’s mongolia part…

  5. Shabu shabu, or rather hotpot is to eat with your family or friends, not alone ma~~~

Anyway, I shouldn’t keep talking about being lonely, that makes the matter worse!

  6. oh yeah, true….

its sort of an ojisan type place, so
it might be hard to go alone for the shabu shabu!

maybe its easy to go during lunch times?

but not sure if kangaroo is on lunch menu.

  7. I saw the restaurant while walking back, it is very near though!! Might try some day.

  8. yeah, they’re the only place in tokyo that serves kangaroo meat.
so it’s definitely for the experience!!
also, it’s owned by my ex-co worker.

  9. What?!!!! Why didn’t you say so?!!!!
    I would definitely try it then! ^^;;;;;;
