くずもち。 あわぜんざい。
From a couple of visits.
Kuzu-mochi – made from kudzu starch, with kinako(soy bean) powder on top. Very nice!
Awa-zenzai – millet and red bean paste, served hot. Good but not quite sticky enough.

くりしるこ(栗の餡)。玉子ぞうに。
Kuri(chestnut) shiruko . Instead of the usual red bean paste, chestnut paste is used. It is so delicious! Eaten with toasted mochi. Served hot.
Ozoni with egg. Can’t see from picture but mochi, kamaboko, somen are hidden under the egg. The clear dashi is light with very nice yuzu fragrance. This is not sweet.

  1. So many past entries…^^;; Yet this time is the first time you took pic of the place. I like Kuzu-mochi, though I only had those packaged ones from market ^^;;/ So they have non dessert dish too (or is ozoni consider a dessert desipte not sweet like that vinegar jelly?)

    季節物よ~2月で終わったと思う。
    栗ぜんざいとかより終わるのが早いの。
    そんなに甘くないよ。

    Ozoni is not dessert I think…it is usually made at home and eaten during new year. This one here doesn’t have so much ingredients but the one I had that my friend’s mom made had a lot stuff in it, very nice~

  5. You really do love this place ne, so many past entries. All of the desserts look good, don’t think I had anything close to the ozoni w/ egg!

  6. This place is right next to the entrance of the underground station that I always use…it is easy to accidentally walk into this shop instead of the entrance…^^;;;
