Very popular Indian restaurant in Ginza. You can only reserve a table for around 6:30pm on a weekday – later than that they don’t take reservations and you must wait outside. The queue was crazy when we went on a Thurs evening. The food is nice, but not sure if it is worth queuing for. Taste-wise it is very very mild in general – the Chicken Keema curry is supposed to be one of the hottest item but it isn’t really that spicy. The naan with raisin and nuts is interesting but doesn’t go with curry – nice on its own though. All the food are shared between 3 people, plus drinks(not that much), about 4000yen each. Not incredibly good value I would say. The dinner and party course seems to be a better deal.

Menu(J): 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

  1. Hello seat,
    Sorry to post under this last entry – I couldn’t find any place to comment on the whole blog (feel free to move or delete my message). I just discovered this blog, and I am really impressed by the large number of restaurant reviewed! I visited a couple of dozen of them, too, and find your comments very interesting. I definitively will be looking here to find more places to visit in Tokyo.
    I also have a web site on Tokyo restaurants, and would very much appreciate if you could contact me by email, as I would be delighted to get more information on your blog.
    Thanks, sanji

  4. Hello seat,

    Thanks for your answer – sorry, my email is : forum AT secret-japan DOT com. I hope you do not mind me asking that here; I am one of the moderator of an online guide to Tokyo restaurant, which you can find on Secret Japan’s web site at http://www.secret-japan.com/restaurant

    We have a database with more than 300 restaurants which were visited by our members – all published with a comprehensive review, and displayed on google maps for easy localization. I wanted to ask you if you would consider sharing some of your favorite addresses on our web site? I am sure that our members and visitors would really appreciate your knowledge of Tokyo’s gastronomy…

    Thanks for this great blog, I will anyway continue to read it with pleasure!

  5. Hi Sanji,

    Recently I have been approached by a couple of Tokyo restaurant review sites inviting me to join in. As much as I am happy that there are more and more of these sites which will be so helpful to foreigners travelling or living in Tokyo, I would rather not get involved myself. Thank you for your invitation anyway. I have linked your site in my blog – hope it is okay – and will check it out from time to time.

  6. Sure, I understand. Hope you did not mind me asking. Keep up the good work, I will keep visiting you here 😉

  7. Tone down for japanese taste? The naan with raisin and nut looks good though. I would never imagine that these food inspire queue and hype from the photos alone. ^^;;

  8. I don’t why there is always queue too. Good location and relatively cheap price? Though I just can’t help feeling a bit reluctant to pay 4000yen for curry…no matter how good it is. ^^;;
