Left pic is goma(sesame seed) taiyaki. Right pic is regular taiyaki. Very interesting shape! Though I am not so fond of eating such a big crust(I prefer a thin crispy crust with lots of red bean paste inside).
Mitarashi Dango and softcream with sweet red bean at the bottom. Both are just okay.

What is the difference between regular and sesame versions? Are there just sesame seeds in the batter?
Yes there is sesame seed in the red bean paste and also in the crust.
They usually are in the cut out fish shape right? Is there red bean paste inside the crust? If not aren’t they kinda dry to eat?
how come they’re not die-cut into fish shape haha
There is no red bean paste inside the flat “rim” part of the crust so it is quite tasteless…
