The quality of chicken is good and everything is grilled perfectly. You get so much food for 4500 yen – each yakitori skewer is quite big and there are 9 of them in the course excluding the veggy. Though I really think they make everything too salty, especially for people like me who can’t drink that much. Also the course is really just yakitori after yakitori and I did get a bit tired towards the end. I wish there were some rice/noodles at the end. In retrospect, we really should’ve ordered plain rice to eat with the yakitori. Having said that I do like the food here.
Dinner menu(J) here.

Came back for lunch. Yakitori rice bowl, Y1050. It is nice too but I think for lunch, Isehiro(which is right next door to Eiichi) is better.

A friend took us to this tiny yakitori place near Isetan Shinjuku. Never passed these alleys before and was surprised to see so many old but interesting-looking eateries around.

We ordered the yakitori course plus many additional orders.

Tori-sashi – raw chicken. Ume Tataki – raw chicken with sour plum.
08072900520807290057
Nikomi – Chicken giblet stew. Doesn’t smell at all, very good! Right pic is soft bone.

More yakitori. Can’t remember what they are…but all are good!
08072900580807290060
Chicken salad. Grilled vegetables.
08072900650807290067
Pickles. Tori zosui – chicken soup rice.

Food is good, price is cheap – with a few drinks it was about 4000yen per person. The chef(40 something?) and the owner(60 something?) are both very kakkoi…^^;;;
Menu(J): 1, 2.

Famous yakitori place offering yakitori rice bowl at lunch time. The kitchen is partitioned with windows so the smoke(scary amount of it) won’t touch you even if you sit at the counter(though you still smell a bit afterwards).

My 5-skewers yakitori-don on the left: sasami(chicken breast), skin, thigh, liver, and meat ball. My friend’s 4-skewers yakitori-don doesn’t include liver. My favourites are skin and thigh!

A small but popular Japanese restaurant specialised in chicken. A friend who is a self-claimed connoisseur of chicken took me here for dinner, and I was totally satisfied by the juicy and tender meat served in this place.
Free appetizer simmered radish is so good.

Ponzu to eat with the hotpot. Rice and egg are added to the soup at the end to make zousui(Japanese soup rice).

Four people shared the food with lots of alcohol drinks, about 5,000 yen per person.
