Langham Hotel
Double boiled shark fin with chinese cabbage and Yunnan ham.
Golden-fried crispy "T'ang Court" chicken.
(Steamed Spot Garoupa)
(Stewed sliced abalone with black mushrooms and chinese kale)
(Stir-fried chicken with shallots in casserole)
(Fried rice with scallops and sweet corn)
(Double boiled papaya and gingko in almond cream)
卵黄のスポンジロール(steamed sponge rolls filled with egg yolk cream)

Actually it was a 酔蝦 set dinner, and there was prawn cooked in wine at the beginning but I forgot to take pictures...^^;;;; The crispy chicken one was very good~~~the pancake for wrapping was moist and soft. This place is recommended by a Jap guide book on HK too but I just stand-and-read it in Mitsukoshi, didn't buy. Also one of my work friends in Jap came to HK for a tour and he went to this restaurant and said it was very good, though he didn't order a set course but picked dishes himself. He is obsessed with chinese food and chinese tea and he is working in Taiwan now, so I trust his taste. This restaurant is good taste-wise, but a bit too expensive la. I guess I should have picked dishes that were more special - I went with my school friends and at that moment we were all very lazy and tired in reading the menu to pick dish by dish.... ^^;;;

Hoho you ARE enjoying yourself in HK! How's HK so far~ I read about internet setup problem, I hope you can have it fixed so we can get faster "update" on what's happening in HK for you ^^
Wow the place seem high end~~ Sharks fin soup looks sooo good. I love eating dishes like the crispy chicken one (be it pork, peking duck, etc.). Though a bit lacking in seafood (other than the fish and sharks fin) for cantonese gourmet ^^;;;
