No i never tried Korean one...but I saw on menu that they had them in tofu bowl or even noodles.

You mean those shredded "year cake" common in Shanghai cuisine? Yeah a bit like that, but Japanese one is softer and more sticky. Korean rice cake...those long round tube shape ones eaten with spicy sauce?? Have you tried before??
