Peach Bellini. Appetizer: Kidney beans soup, cauliflower and beans(oily and sour), marinated rockfish(again oily and sour), fried hummus chip(quite good), ham, potato and cod paste with mayonnaise.
Two of us ordered two different pasta and the waitor himself suggested us to share and offered to divide for us. Of course we said yes and were grateful for the good service, though later we discovered they charged 10% service even during lunch time...so the pictures are both half portion. Pansoti with spinage, ricotta cheese and ham stuffing, walnut and butter sauce. The pasta skin is very nice, soft but sticky texture. Pappardelle with minced horse meat in red wine sauce. Tasted like beef to me(^^;;). With coffee included, about 3600yen per person...ouch. Well, I knew it was quite a poshy place. Even on a weekday afternoon, boiling hot temperature, it was packed with people, mostly girls, some even sat outside in the terrace...gosh. My friend overheard the two guys sitting next to us and one of them was a chef from a French restaurant...and my friend said they were listening to us when we talked about which restaurant is great which restaurant sucks...(^^;;)

Yeah, I actually don't like sharing in French/Italian restaurants, since the portions are never that big, and having only a mouthful of many dishes will just end up not having an impression on any dish. Also the process of cutting, splitting...such a hassle. ^^;;

With so many food program on TV, chefs are becoming like celeb and media figure~
I think they demand splitting fees because some people might just make one order to share among 2 people, which is just...^^;; I mean if I want to 'save $' by doing that, one person could order an appertizer.

シェフの名前で調べたら何軒か出てきたけど、
あの人の顔写真は出てこなかった、、、
結局分からずじまい～

My friend said he looked familiar and probably saw him on TV or magazines...unlikely that we went to his restaurant though(wishful thinking? ^^;;)

Yeah the portion was so small! I could eat 2 FULL portions! ^^;;

Yeah you guys probably mention that french chef's place! Or he's interested in what people think of his competitions.

haha maybe they're alarmed because you mentioned the chef's restaurant (esp. if it's in the suck list ^^;;;). Here a lot of the more posh restaurant demand a 'splitting' fees too! Though the half size does seems...too tiny portion ^^;;
(and yay for Italia!!!! They played so good today~~ :D)
