nowaday kids brought up by preservatives food and packaged MSG noodle's taste bud can get dull too ^^;;

There is a highschool student there....probably chain smoker? ^^;;;

Mayb most customers there are smokers...their taste bud will get dull when you smoke too much, to the point you can't taste anything other than strong spicy tasty food like Thai cusine, hence the salty-ness is right amount for them ^^;;;;
