It is a bit hard to translate the menu but I do my best. It is a traditional Japanese dinner course and I went with the gourmet ML people. About US$50 per person, the food in the photos are all included in the course.
1. Urchin, tofu skin and aubergine
2. Fried soba paste, spicy/salty bream with cream cheese, persimmon etc.
3. bream, turnip, yuzu(like orange)
4. sashimi
5. Grilled yellowtail(?), herb salad
6. Bun with prawn, taro and eel paste
7. Rice with tea, salmon topping
8. Sesame bavarois
Everything tastes absolute heaven.

  3. My god there’s so much stuff!!! Is this luxury Japanese gourmet? Do you mean all these pic are food for yourself only? o_0 The appertizers look soooo good!!! Everything looks good because I simply cannot imagine how they taste like.

  4. Yeah, everything is included in the dinner course for one person(about $50, but I drank sake too so it came to about $65), and everyone had exactly the same full course, except some chose different desserts. It is luxurious but traditional Japanese dinner IS expensive and this restaurant is considered very reasonably priced already. This place is very hard to book apparently. I am so glad I went – it is a precious experience!

  5. Wow everything looks so yummy! See I would like Japanese food if they’re fancy and unique like these ^^;;;; I’m most curious at the 前菜 and “Sesame bavarois.”

  6. The one I loved most was 真鯛と蕪のみぞれ椀 柚子! But everything tasted wonderful. Next time you come to Japan I will bring you guys there!

  7. ah, i really love ????. . . but they are way too expensive. and it’s hard to find a place in the US that makes good traditional japanese food. i only had it twice in my life. once in taiwan (my dad took the whole family), and the second time was when i visit japan.

  8. I am sure there are good and reasonably priced Japanese places in L.A., you have to ask Japanese people living there maybe~~~

  9. Tina if you want these full-course type of japanese food like these, check these out: Kaiseki, see if you tried any of these before. I’m sure there are more that aren’t listing here.
