とんかつと豚肉料理 平田牧場(日本橋コレド)

060322 039.jpg棒ヒレかつ膳、1800円。Oh very good!!! I went at 5pm with a friend for an early dinner and to our surprise, a queue formed immediately after the restaurant opened at 5 sharp....we had no idea this place is so popular.

I sat in the counter facing the window and the sky was still bright at 5, hence the pink colour. ^^;; The pork was juicy and Japanese have a way of making the batter very light and not-oily and crispy. Yeah Japanese are very obsessed with food. Turn on the TV any time of the day and you will find a program about food. Go to a bookstore and there are countless number of magazines/books about restaurants/cooking etc.

hehe I recently read an article that talks about Japanese people obsession with gourmet...how there're lines (and people willing to line up for them) for the best places. Perhaps it's the lighting, the pork looked so pink. (still can't imagine how 'good' can cutlet pork get ^^;;)
