Banana Leaf (Farmer’s Market)

By in 09: Weho

This Singaporean + Indonesian + Malaysian food stall at Farmer’s market is my favorite at Farmer’s Market. Yet this is the first time I actually took photos of the food (because I usually get take out).

Fish Curry, tasty and hot.

Mee Goreng (Fried Noodle) set that include a fried egg and chicken skewers. It’s loaded with onions, chili, garlic with tomatoes and egg, very peppery and tasty. It left you with hot breath. Their fresh Limonade is a good remedy.

Compare to take out, seeing the food being served on a banana leaf somehow enhance the impression. 😉

  1. Looks good. I love a fried egg on noodles, rice, pizza….anything really, ha! I will have to try it sometime- everytime I go to the Farmer’s Market I get sucked into ordering the Loteria Cochinita Pibil tacos but now that there is another Loteria near work in Hollywood, I won’t be so hard up:)!

I always get sucked into ordering from the Brazilian place instead~ but I restrained myself and walk all the way to the back for Banana Leaf (i guess it depends which entrance you park 😉 )
