The China Town in SF was pretty big and very happening, much more organized and cleaner than LA. The central area was more touristy looking with obvious historical cultural architectures and lanterns. However further down the hill are blooming businesses. Didn’t get to eat there…though I heard you can find very good “Cow-Tongued Puffs” here. 😀

I ate in this china town….more than 10 years ago! I was travelling with my parents so we had to have chinese food. I remember there were flies everywhere…but the food was even better than HK! The best was a restaurant called something like An-An Cafe…probably not there anymore! So it has become much cleaner now!

Well ‘clean’ relatively to LA one and other ethnic neighborhood…^^;;; It’s a pity we didn’t have time to explore China Town, seems like lots of good stuffs! We could have had breakfast here at least (saw some HK pastries place!). We also didn’t have time to go to Castro, the gay neightborhood. People tell me it’s quite cool~
