A new coffee shop has opened inside the LA Country Museum called C+M (Coffee + Milk). Since I work nearby there these days, I’ve been coming here for lunch a lot after their debut. They baked their pastry every morning, and the menu changes daily.
The interior is brightly lit as it’s walled by floor to ceiling glass.
Love the modern, minimal space that’s brightened up by wood.
They use the Intelligentsia roast and it brewed in the La Marzocco Strada machine.
My favorite pastry: Gruyere Popover, fluffy and flakey, very good.
Also not in pictures is the Bacon Pop Tart! It’s delicious!
Pear and Brie Sandwich in a round bun $7: the bun is so fluffy and fresh, love it!
Duck Prosciutto with Kim Chee Sandwich $7 They over drenched the sauce occasionally.
Black Velvet Cake, a bit too sweet for my taste.
Sadly this place is suffered from uneven services. Most staffs are friendly but they often forgot or mix up the orders. One time I was treated rudely (when I gave him change, a staff rolled his eyes as if he refuse to do such ‘complicated’ math and let another staff attended to me), since then I’ve stopped coming here. What a pity as I like the space, food and drinks.
