Cafe Penguini (Playa del Rey)

By in 14: Marina del Rey

I’ve been super busy at work, so me and my team can only afford to eat at walking distance places (and there aren’t much choice…err…). Back to this pasta place.

I have the Penne Siciliana arrabbiata (tomatoes basil, eggplant, red and yellow bell peppers, garlic and spicy tomato sauce), love the taste but I’m never a fan of Penne no matter how good it is. I regretted it, but I was tempted by the bell peppers…

The other two pictures are my teammates’, Clam white wine sauce and Capellini with fresh chopped tomatoes, basil and extra virgin olive oil, the person who has it said the tomatoes are very fresh, both are very good. It’s good that I have nice lunches, I didn’t have dinner almost every night when working late, partly my own fault because I don’t feel like leaving the office at night…rather get work done as much as possible.

From another lunch day. The Bolognese is…not bad~ quite fresh!

    No other customers when you went?? Haha, penne is easy to achieve al dente so I like it a lot, however for penne the portion is always small…so always a little struggle for me. ^^;;;

    It wasn’t 12 yet when we went to eat so…^^;; Plus most people sit outside. There’s just too much chewing for penne, too slow just to eat one…^^|||
